Ficre Ghebreyesus: Gate to the Blue

Galerie Lelong & Co., New York, is pleased to share our new catalogue Ficre Ghebreyesus: Gate to the Blue. The exhibition was held at the gallery from September 10 to October 24, 2020, and marked the late artist’s first solo exhibition in New York City, and his first with the gallery. Gate to the Blue extended the previous online presentation to the physical gallery space and introduced new paintings, with a large majority of works presented to the public for the first time.

The catalogue contains a new essay by Tausif Noor, a transcribed conversation between Elizabeth Alexander and Jason Moran, and plates from the exhibition and public collections.
