Art Basel Miami Beach: Booth E14
-
Galerie Lelong, New York and Paris, are pleased to participate in Art Basel Miami Beach with works by Etel Adnan, Leonardo Drew, Jean Dubuffet, June Edmonds, Günther Förg, Sarah Grilo, Petah Coyne and Kathy Grove, David Hockney, Alfredo Jaar, Jannis Kounellis, Jaume Plensa, Alison Saar, Christine Safa, Zilia Sánchez, Pinaree Sanpitak, Tariku Shiferaw, Kiki Smith, Michelle Stuart, Mildred Thompson, and Juan Uslé.
For the fair's Kabinett sector, the gallery will present a selection of works on paper created in the 1960s by the late artist and poet Etel Adnan. This decade would prove foundational for Adnan, during which she developed her visual language in parallel with her philosophical and literary work. Meditative, lyrical, and structurally rigorous, these ink, watercolor, and gouache works on paper offer a rare and intimate view into the early evolution of one of the most poetic and singular voices in postwar abstraction.
